Matthew Roszak

Founding Partner at Tally Capital

Mr. Roszak is founding partner of Tally Capital, a Chicago-based venture capital firm focused on blockchain-enabled technologies and currencies with a portfolio of over 20 investments in the ecosystem, including: BitFury, BitGo, Blockstream, ChangeTip, Factom, MaidSafe, and Xapo.

Named as one of the “who’s who of the crypto-currency world” by The Wall Street Journal, Mr. Roszak is a Bitcoin investor, advocate and speaker. He has spent over 20 years in private equity and venture capital with Advent International, Keystone Capital Partners, Platinum Venture Partners and SilkRoad

Equity, and has invested over $1 billion of capital (from start-up to IPO) in a broad range of industries.

Mr. Roszak is a member of the National Venture Capital Association, and serves on the boards of: BitGive, Blockchain Capital, Chamber of Digital Commerce, Dunvegan Space Systems, Factom, Noble Markets and Romit, amongst others.

Mr. Roszak is founder and chairman of the Chicago Bitcoin Center, and an advisor to Decentral (Toronto) and Plug and Play (San Francisco). Mr. Roszak was also a producer of the first ever Bitcoin documentary, The Rise and Rise of Bitcoin.

Mr. Roszak is a sought after commentator on blockchain technology, and has been featured on CNBC, as well as in The Wall Street Journal, MarketWatch, Business Insider, CoinDesk, Bitcoin Magazine and CoinTelegraph. In addition, Mr. Roszak has presented at Bitcoin conferences worldwide, including: CoinSummit, Inside Bitcoins, The North American Bitcoin Conference, Coin Congress and Coin Agenda.

Mr. Roszak earned his Bachelors of Arts degree in Economics from Lake Forest College.
